CESAR BENZONI
Cesar Benzoni is a Brazilian-Italian musician, singer, guitarist, and mandolinist with over 20 years of experience in acoustic music, jazz, swing, and bluegrass. Based in Galway, Ireland, he has performed at iconic venues like EXIT IN and Whelan’s, produced music through Yodel Studio, and leads the Brazilian Bluegrass Music Association, sharing music that brings nostalgia, hope, and excitement.
CESAR BENZONI TRIO
The Cesar Benzoni Trio brings the sound of 1940s jazz to life with a lineup of guitar, vocals, piano, and double bass. Inspired by drumless trios like the King Cole Trio and Oscar Peterson Trio, they perform a mix of swing-era jazz standards and Italian jazz songs arranged for this format.
Led by Brazilian-Italian guitarist and singer Cesar Benzoni, the trio focuses on authenticity in both sound and presentation. Using period-appropriate equipment, they recreate the feel of a classic jazz performance, with a repertoire featuring music by Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Fats Waller, Benny Goodman, Renato Carosone, and Nicola Arigliano.
The group currently holds a residency at Il Vicolo in Galway, an award-winning Italian restaurant known for its Jazz Sundays. They have also performed at Silent Cinema Galway, an award-winning venue dedicated to early film and live music.
