Brazilian Italian, Cesar Benzoni has been singing and playing music professionally for the last 17 years and made the big move from his hometown São Paulo to Galway City, Ireland.
In the year of 2005, following his passion for country music, he joined the BlackSmith Country Band, one of the main country acts in Brazil at the time. During that period with the band, he got his Bachelor’s Degree in Radio and Television and also developed a love for music production and sound engineering. Cesar started recording guitar and mandolin for other artists and in 2013 he opened his own Yodel Studio, where he records and produces music for other artists all over the world. In the meantime, he played venues, festivals, and theaters in Brazil. He toured in Nashville (US) in 2012 and 2014, at the famous EXIT IN, Tootsies, and Rippy's Honky-Tonk.
Since 2018 he's based in Galway City, where he played in RTE Radio 1, Whelan’s Live, Guinness Storehouse, Roisin Dubh, Monroe’s Live, Black Gate, Galway Town Hall Theater, An Tadhbhearc, Matt Molloy’s, and festivals like All Together Now, TradFest, Galway Arts Festival, Culture Night, Galway Folk Festival, Westport Folk & Bluegrass Festival Ploughin Championship, Danny Boy Jazz and Blues Festival, Galway Oyster Festival, Cruinniú na mBád among others.
Apart from the stages, Cesar runs the Brazilian Bluegrass Music Association since 2012 and runs his YouTube channel, with music performances, guests, lessons, and instrument reviews.
